Mike Ward completed his RYT 200-hr certification through Christa Mastrangelo Joyce and Jala Yoga in Shepherdstown, WV in 2018. He began practicing yoga in 2013 to support his wife’s practice, but soon recognized the change in himself as yoga helped increase his flexibility, decrease his stress and gave him a more positive outlook on life in general. He is particularly interested in helping men realize that the benefits of a consistent yoga practice can be transforming in a way they never imagined. Mike’s preferred style of practice is Vinyasa, but he always enjoys learning new styles of yoga to share with his students. Mike brings a confidence and compassionate energy to his classes that provides a safe and encouraging space for his students to challenge themselves. When he is not teaching yoga, his hobbies include caving, hiking, spending time with family and spoiling his grandchildren.
